what we made

We introduced a range of new products in 2020. We spent years developing every fabric, every piece and every collection, making sure we got them just right — for both you and the earth.

Everyday GF

We made Everyday GF so you can finally close the loop on your socks and underwear.

Everything was designed with recycled polyester to divert plastic water bottles from landfills and nix our need for virgin polyester. It’s also all recyclable with ReGirlfriend, and not just to be downcycled, to create brand new fabric.

 

You made Everyday GF a way for us to support the fight for racial justice.

The campaign featured women who champion equality, opportunity and access for BIPOC communities every day. Plus, we donated 100% of the net proceeds from the launch to The Loveland Foundation, The Okra Project, and the NAACP Legal & Defense Fund.

F L O A T

We made FLOAT to be the perfect blend of soft, lightweight and compressive.

We spent two years perfecting this collection, making sure it was, first and foremost, recyclable when the time comes. We made sure it is as sweat-wicking and sheer-proof as our Compressive fabric, only a softer, lighter weight, stretchier and a tad less compressive.

 

You made FLOAT the collection you do it all in.

From blending classic ballet with hip-hop to becoming a 4X United States Special Olympics Gymnastics Champion, the FLOAT campaign featured boundary-breakers and rule-defiers that showed us that in FLOAT you can do it all — and then some.

Maternity

We made our Maternity Collection to give mamas a more sustainable wardrobe.

Created with recycled fishing nets, the Maternity Collection was designed with cute and comfy legging, bra and bike short styles that see you through every phase of motherhood. Every piece is soft, stretchy and breathable so it feels like you’re being hugged all over (but not, like, in a creepy way).

 

You made our Maternity Collection a way for us to get real about motherhood.

The Maternity Collection inspired a campaign that brought together all kinds of families to shed light on the real, raw moments of parenthood.

Sweatsuits

We made our Sweatsuits to reduce the environmental footprint of your comfy clothes.

Designed with a blend of organic cotton and fabric scraps otherwise destined for landfills, each piece in our Sweatsuit collection saves over 240 gallons of water compared to conventional cotton garments, which is equivalent to the amount of water a person drinks for over a year. *Gulp.*

 

You made our Sweatsuits what you wear when you’re in your comfort zone.

Each of the campaign muses were featured in their element, doing what they love, with the people and projects they love. From running with a club founded at the intersection of endurance sports and street culture to building a food project based on Taiwanese and Sichuanese traditions, the Sweatsuit campaign showed us that often our comfort zones look a little different to everyone.

R&R

We made the R&R Collection to bring a sustainable update to your loungewear.

We wanted to bring what we know about turning old water bottles into high-quality clothing to an all new category — loungewear. We designed the R&R Collection to be made with 91% recycled plastic bottles and, of course, recyclable when you’re done with it.

 

You made the R&R Collection what you wear to feel good about feeling good.

It’s buttery soft, stretchy without being saggy and effortlessly put together. You wear it to lounge, you wear it to feel good and, because it’s easy on the planet, you wear it to feel good about feeling good.

We couldn’t have predicted a year like this one, we’re pretty sure no one could have. So even though the initial vision for our products — out and about, in sweaty classes and traveling with friends — has been thrown out the window, you and our amazing campaign muses have brought a whole new life to our clothes. Through it all, you kept supporting and sharing and for that, we couldn’t be more grateful.

 

That’s why this November, we’re bringing back some of our most-loved muses from our 2020 campaigns to let us into their worlds, and tell us how Girlfriend fits into it. More to come tomorrow.
